I was gonna write this about finding Vlad’s grandson, Steven, hanging out at city hall with Elvira — and seeing her grab his arm and turn him into a vampire — and wishing I’d had the camera rolling. That makes the third time in about a week that she’s turned some sweet innocent local into a blood thirsty vampire. The first was a dude by the name of Roland Cryer. I don’t even remember when, where, why, or how he came into the game, so no big deal there.
Remember back here where I told you about new coworkers moving in on my families? Remember how I was trying to decide what to do with the family that had been recklessly placed in harm’s way at Elvira’s house? I discovered that the father had been given a job with The Family and might actually have been a coworker for Joey — who’s been sitting alone at the bistro for years — so I let them stay. And I thought it would be interesting to see if they fared even half as well as Justin DiNapoli, a young man El took in when his father died. Continue reading
Last time, as you might recall, I had posed the question, “What if Vlad left behind a little piece of himself at Sims University?” The answer was that the lucky lady, Ashley Corono, would travel to SV2E then disappear before Vlad could talk to her. Eventually, once I stopped playing Vlad again, she returned — but she was no longer pregnant. When I first checked her relationship status I only noticed that she wasn’t pregnant. My disappointment got the better of me and I didn’t take a full account of all that was listed. The next time I checked I happened to spot something interesting. She was still single, but she had a child!
She didn’t lose the baby after all. Yea! Now what?
So… just before it was time for Vlad to leave the university my mind wandered. And it began to wonder. What would be the outcome if Vlad left behind a little piece of himself? Others have reported returning to the university to find their sim had an unexpected child waiting for them. So what if I messed around with the settings just enough to get one good Try For Baby effort? Maybe there’d be a little Schlick running around campus the next time I sent a resident of SV2E off to college. But it wasn’t working. I changed all the settings I could find and still no TFB permitted. Blast! Then I decided I was curious to see if I could get my Vlad the opportunity to enjoy a little juiced make out session. So I began hunting through the moodlets. I was having a heckuva time trying to keep Ashley’s attention focused — all the guys in the frat house wanted to talk to her — so doing it the old fashioned way (drinking from the keg) wasn’t an option. Besides, since I didn’t have control over her I couldn’t make her drink. Continue reading
Ok… so yesterday I sent my little Vlad off to Sims University. I was so proud of him — he aced his aptitude test, scoring 400 out of 400 in all but one field of study. Such a good boy, my Vlad. He’s majoring in technology so he can get a boost in his law enforcement career when he gets back home. (Never mind that he’s already at level 10… that is totally beside the point.)
